Ten inches tall, built to be held. We are designing a line of Book of Mormon character figures — starting with Captain Moroni — alongside free stories and printable activities that families can use tonight, whether or not a figure ever ends up on the shelf.
Captain Moroni exists as a digital appearance model: roughly ten inches tall, with clothing and armour sculpted into the body, and a separate sword, flag and shield. He has no working joints yet. Nothing has been printed, tested, safety-certified or priced.
The other eleven characters are researched and planned, and nothing more than that. We would rather show you the workshop with the door open than photograph something and imply it is ready.
Chosen by looking at which stories the Church's own children's materials, art collections and video series actually return to most often — then weighed against what makes a good toy.
Original retellings written to be read aloud. Every one marks clearly which parts come straight from scripture and which details we imagined to make the story flow — so you always know what you are reading to your child.
Nephi's father asked him to go back to a dangerous city and get a book — and the first three tries went badly wrong. This is the story of a young man who kept going anyway, and of the sentence he said before he knew how any of it would end. ---
Ammon could have been a king's son at home; instead he walked into a foreign court, bowed, and asked for the lowest job they had. Then a day came when the king's flocks were scattered and everyone else gave up — and a servant with a sling did not. ---
Abish had believed in God quietly for years, and had never told a single person in the king's house. Then one afternoon she walked into a room where everyone was lying still, understood immediately what she was looking at, and ran out the door to get the whole city. ---
Colouring pages, cut-out scenes, banner-making, story sequencing cards — plus a companion booklet for each character with a story, discussion questions and things to act out.
The first booklet — Captain Moroni — is drafted and being laid out for print. It will be posted here free, with no email address required.
One prototype character, a lineup planned, and a great deal still to do before anything can be sold.
No payment, no deposit, no obligation — this is a list of people who want to know when a figure is genuinely finished, tested and ready. That is all it is. You can leave at any time, and we will never pass your address to anyone else.
